Greece - Gotta Enter To Win...

IMG_4438.JPG

One of the most influential pieces of advice I've ever received was the notion that, "the worst they can say is, no." No matter what job, what audition, what date, what application, the absolute worst thing that could happen is they simply say - no. Yes...rejection hurts and it is not always fun, but one thing I can always promise you is that the answer, 10/10 times, will always be 'no' if you never try. Once you realize that your fear of rejection is what is stopping you, the world before you will suddenly be a whole new place.

At the end of the day, the Lord has a very specific plan for our lives. When things don't fall into place like we thought they might've, we have to step back and know that the Lord lets everything happen that way for a reason. We also have to remember - our dreams, and our desires aren't just going to fall into our lap, but that He wants us to work for them and chase after them to fulfill the talents He has blessed us with! You have to work as hard as you can, and then leave the rest up to Him. <3

My best friend (Adrienne) and I entered a blogger's competition via Instagram a while back. We asked our friends to enter as well, but many responded saying things such as, "they have thousands of followers, there's no way that company will choose us, there's going to be thousands of entries." But, like normal, Adrienne and I, being too optimistic for our own good, entered anyways because the worst thing that could happen would be a 'no'. The odds were extremely small, and we knew this, but low-and-behold, I get a call from Adrienne a few days later telling me that our names have just been announced as the winners for a trip to GREECE.

You would have thought we had won the lottery ( it might've as well been, honestly!!). I was running around in circles around my house, screaming, jumping up and down, in shock/disbelief/gratitude. An absolute dream unfolding into a beautiful reality right before our eyes. I really do hope this blog and story inspires you to just go for the crazy things in life, the things that seem unreachable. Nothing fun ever happens in comfort zones...and I believe in you like crazy :).

Here is a photo journal of our three days in Mykonos, and three days in Santorini, Greece, thanks to the magnificant, Cavotagoo.
